What we collect

When you install the DataforGEO Chrome extension and "Contribute to DataforGEO dataset" is enabled (it is on by default and can be disabled in Settings), we collect:

• The user query you typed into ChatGPT
• The hidden Bing sub-queries ChatGPT generated
• The domains and source URLs ChatGPT referenced
• The ChatGPT model used (e.g. gpt-4o)
• A random anonymous device ID generated on first use
• Timestamp of capture

What we never collect

• Your name, email, or ChatGPT account credentials
• The full text of ChatGPT's responses
• Personal messages or conversation content beyond the user query
• Browsing history outside ChatGPT
• Cookies, session tokens, or trackers

How we use it

We aggregate the captured data to power public search results on this website. The data is shown in anonymized aggregate form (frequencies, citation counts, domain rankings).

Your controls

• You can disable data sharing at any time in extension Settings → Data Privacy.
• You can request deletion of all submissions tied to your device ID by emailing us.
• Uninstalling the extension stops all future data collection.
